40 Hours per Week Skillforce is currently hiring Skilled Laborers for a shop job in Shelbyville, KY. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a shop, construction, manufacturing, or industrial environment and be comfortable performing a variety of hands-on labor tasks. Candidates should have a strong work ethic, good attention to detail, and a commitment to working safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Assist with general labor and material handling throughout the shop and work areas Load, unload, move, and stage materials and equipment Assist skilled tradesmen and shop personnel with daily production and fabrication tasks Use basic hand and power tools safely and effectively Measure, cut, move, and organize materials as directed Assist with the preparation and assembly of materials and components Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Follow directions from supervisors and skilled tradesmen Follow all company and job-site safety procedures Safely handle and move heavy materials as needed Assist with cleanup, organization, and other general shop duties Work effectively with team members to meet production schedules and project deadlines Requirements Previous experience in a shop, construction, manufacturing, or industrial environment preferred Comfortable performing physical labor and working with heavy materials Ability to use basic hand and power tools Ability to follow directions and safety procedures Strong attention to detail and situational awareness Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to work overtime as needed and maintain reliable attendance Must pass all pre-employment screenings, including drug testing and background check Reliable transportation Strong work ethic and commitment to workplace safety Benefits 401(k) Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Paid Time Off Referral Program If you are an experienced Skilled Laborer looking for steady work in a shop environment, apply today ! #GEN
