GLO Resources is currently hiring an experienced Skilled Laborer (Technician I)to join our team in Amite, LA . The pay rate is between $18-$22 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. The schedule is Monday- Friday, 6:30 am-5:00 pm with occasional overtime depending on project deadlines. This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career in the water/wastewater construction industry while gaining experience with site layout, pipe installation, and other skilled field activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist Technician II and senior personnel with assigned job activities and field operations. Safely use basic hand tools, materials, and equipment, including hammers, shovels, sledgehammers, and power tools. Learn and apply new technologies, equipment, tools, and job-specific processes. Perform general labor and support duties as needed to help the crew complete projects efficiently. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Work collaboratively with team members and assist with other duties as assigned. May be assigned other duties, as necessary.

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of experience working within construction as a skilled laborer Previous experience in construction or water/wastewater industry preferred Basic understanding of and ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, materials, and equipment. Ability to understand and follow instructions and directions provided by senior technicians and supervisors. Reliable transportation is required. Ability and willingness to travel with the crew to jobsites outside of your home area. Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to work as part of a team. Able to comply with all company and project safety requirements, protocols, and procedures. Company provides housing and per diem when applicable.

Physical Requirements:

This position involves regular physical activity, including: Standing for prolonged periods. Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching. Pushing and pulling heavy objects. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
