Sky Limit Construction is looking to add a Skilled Construction Laborer / Carpenter to our growing residential construction and remodeling team in the Ponchatoula area. We're looking for someone with solid hands-on construction experience who takes pride in their work, values high-quality construction, and can be trusted to work productively with limited supervision.

Typical responsibilities include:

Perform general residential construction and remodeling work Assist with framing, drywall, tile, trim, flooring, cabinetry, tub/shower installation, and related finish work Complete demolition, reconstruction, repairs, and punch-list items Measure, cut, fit, and install construction materials accurately Load, unload, move, and organize tools and materials Prepare jobsites and work areas for each phase of construction Operate common hand and power tools safely Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite Assist other crew members and subcontractors as needed Identify material needs or field issues and communicate them promptly Follow project plans, instructions, and quality standards Preferred skills and qualifications: Previous residential construction or remodeling experience Experience with multiple trades or phases of remodeling Strong measuring, layout, and basic carpentry skills Comfortable using common construction tools and equipment Ability to work independently and as part of a crew Good problem-solving skills Dependable, punctual, and able to follow through on assigned work Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to perform physically demanding construction tasks, including lifting, carrying, bending, climbing, and working on active jobsites Reliable transportation to project locations

Position:

Part-time to full-time, depending on experience and availability
