The ideal candidate must have 3-5 years of experience working for an excavation company and a strong understanding of water, sewer, and underground utility construction . Paving experience is a plus. This is a full-time position with competitive pay based on experience. Responsibilities Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of water mains, hydrants, gate valves, and underground utilities. Dig trenches and assist with excavation, grading, compaction, and backfilling. Compact soil and other materials using appropriate tools and equipment. Assist with setting rims and covers on structures. Clean, prepare, and maintain construction sites. Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment. Move and shovel materials around the job site, including dirt, asphalt, and other construction materials. Assist the paving crew with shoveling, compacting, and luting. Maintain clean and organized work areas throughout the project. Properly handle, store, and secure materials, tools, and equipment. Remove and secure tools and equipment at the end of each workday. Follow all company and job-site safety procedures. Immediately report unsafe conditions or safety violations to management. Work effectively as part of a construction and excavation crew. Qualifications 3-5 years of experience as a laborer with an excavation company. Proven experience and knowledge of water, sewer, and underground utility work . Paving experience is a plus . Valid Massachusetts driver's license . Reliable transportation to and from job sites. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States . Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, shoveling, digging, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work well with a crew. Commitment to maintaining a safe and professional job site.
