About Forge At Forge, we install energy-efficient heat pumps for homeowners across Greater Boston. Our mission is to help homeowners make their homes more comfortable and sustainable while reducing energy costs. Description Description This is an entry-level, hands-on role: you'll spend your days in attics, basements, crawl spaces, and outdoors in all types of weather, helping complete residential insulation and energy-efficiency projects through the Mass Save program. No weatherization experience is required — but a reliable and good work-ethic is. Compensation $18-$25/hr, based on experience. What You Will Do Assist experienced installers with residential insulation and weatherization projects Help install weatherization insulation materials Assist with air sealing, ventilation, and other energy-efficiency improvements Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment Prepare and clean job sites before and after each project Operate hand and power tools safely Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards Keep trucks, tools, and equipment clean and organized Work closely with Crew Chiefs and other crew members to complete projects efficiently Represent Forge professionally when interacting with homeowners Qualifications & Preferred Experience No prior experience required but you need to be hard working and reliable Construction, landscaping, roofing, moving, warehouse, manufacturing, or other hands-on labor experience is a plus Dependable, eager to learn, and able to work well as part of a team Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license required Authorized to work in the U.S. Able to pass a background check and drug test (does not screen for marijuana) Physical requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly; comfortable working in attics, basements, crawl spaces, and other confined spaces; able to climb ladders and work at heights; able to work in hot, cold, dusty, and physically demanding conditions Logistics Service area: Eastern Massachusetts — you'll travel to job sites across this area daily in your own vehicle.
