Construction Laborer/Operator

Responsibilities Operate heavy machinery including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and dump trucks to support various construction activities. Assist with site preparation, grading, paving, and other foundational tasks using specialized equipment such as horizontal drilling rigs and heavy equipment.. Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on all equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Support construction crews by handling materials, setting up work zones, and ensuring the smooth flow of operations across the site. Follow all safety protocols and procedures diligently to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to execute project plans efficiently while adhering to timelines. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and work completed throughout each shift. • Experience Prior experience working on construction sites is highly preferred; familiarity with various heavy equipment is a plus. Mechanical knowledge related to operating excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and dump trucks is a strong plus. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or ability to obtain one is advantageous for operating certain vehicles. Hands-on experience with horizontal drilling or paving projects will set you apart. Knowledge of construction safety standards and procedures is required to ensure a safe working environment. Ability to operate heavy equipment confidently is desirable. Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation are vital for success in this fast-paced environment. Must be willing to travel. Many jobs are prevailing wage. Other jobs include per diem.
