Job Description

Terracon LLC is an excavating contractor located in Zeeland. Our projects include earthwork, grading, utilities (storm, water, sanitary, septic), parking lots, pathways, mass earth moving and more for townships and counties across Ottawa, Kent, and Allegan. We're a small crew and we're growing. The jobs are bigger than they were a few years ago and we're building the crew to match. We run GPS machine control on our equipment. Less staking, less hand grading, less doing the job twice. If you haven't run it, we'll teach you

Location:
Zeeland, MI
  • job sites across Ottawa, Kent, and Allegan counties Job type: Full-time year-round, or temporary through the end of the year
Pay:
$23
  • $35 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 7am-5pm, overtime in season. Saturdays when a job needs it, never mandatory. We do snow removal in the winter along with whatever excavation projects are possible.
The job:
Some days you're running a machine, some days you're laying pipe or working by hand
  • whatever the job needs that day. You don't have to be a master operator. If you can run equipment well enough to be useful and you're not afraid of manual labor, we can work with that and the pay gets better as you do. What you'll do:
  • Run skid steer, excavators, dozers, and more
  • Install pipe and set structures
  • Site prep, grading, and backfill
  • Hand work
  • shoveling, grade, cleanup
  • Erosion control and general site work What we need:
  • A reliable way to get to the shop or jobsite on time
  • Willing to do manual labor, not just sit in a machine
  • Able to work outside in Michigan weather and lift 50 lbs Helps, but not required:
  • Experience on excavators, skid steers, or dozers
  • GPS or machine control experience
  • Underground utility or storm sewer work
