Construction Technician Black Swan Property Management Bloomington, MN Job Details Full-time $22 - $32 an hour 7 days ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Carpentry Drywall Certified Pool Operator High school diploma or GED Driver's License Construction experience Wall framing Full Job Description Job Summary The Construction Technician supports capital improvement and unit turn projects across our Bloomington portfolio, executing skilled hands-on work in carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and basic mechanical/plumbing/electrical tasks. This role reports to the Construction Manager and works alongside maintenance teams to deliver quality renovations on schedule and within budget. Responsibilities Perform skilled construction and renovation work—including framing, drywall installation and finishing, flooring(LVP), painting, fixture installation, trim/carpentry-to company standards across capital projects and unit turns. Execute basic mechanical, plumbing, and electrical tasks within the scope of licensure, escalating work requiring a licensed trade to the appropriate professional. Read and interpret project scopes, plans, and material specifications, and accurately install standard-spec materials and fixtures per project requirements. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site at all times, following OSHA standards and company PPE/safety protocols. Track project progress, materials used, and labor hours through Property Meld (or designated project management system), and communicate status updates to the project lead.
