TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION WORKER POSITION 2026

Construction Season Garden Valley Technologies is looking for a hardworking and motivated person to join our construction team for the 2026 season. This temporary position is not eligible for participation in the Company's benefit plans and is limited to under 1,000 hours per employee per season.

Hourly compensation:

starting at $26.35. Primary Duties (including but not limited to) 1. Perform construction department tasks as directed by the Facilities Supervisor. 2. Follow instructions and learn processes while assisting crew members on job sites. 3. Install and maintain underground fiber optic cables, both new and in restoration efforts, using plowing and digging equipment. 4. Assist with maintenance and repair of heavy equipment. 5. Be conscious of and follow all safety protocols and procedures. 6. Complete safety training as required by the Company.

Applicant Qualifications:

1. Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid insurable Minnesota driver's license. 2. Must have training, experience, and/or the ability to work with telecommunications cable and heavy construction equipment and tools used by the Company, including maintenance and repair. 3. Must have effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 4. This is a physically demanding job that requires the ability to lift approximately 60 pounds and work outdoors and drive or operate equipment in various adverse weather conditions. 5. Must have neat and orderly work habits. 6. Must be willing and able, without advance notice, to work extended hours when the workload requires. Preference may be given to applicants: ? Who have, or are willing to obtain, a Class A CDL license. ? Who have prior cable splicing and locating and/or other telecommunications and construction equipment experience. If offered a position with Garden Valley Technologies, employment is contingent upon successfully completing a pre-employment background check and physical exam, with satisfactory results. CDL holders also must pass a pre-employment drug test.
