General Construction/Masonry Worker

Join Our Team for Exciting Building Restoration! We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our construction and masonry team. Responsibilities include assisting with a variety of general construction tasks, masonry work, painting, site preparation, and cleanup. Prior experience is helpful but not required—we offer training for motivated candidates.

Who We Are & What We Do:

Our Primary Purpose:

To repair, rebuild, and restore masonry structures (brick, stone, and concrete) to their original integrity and aesthetic appeal, ensuring long-term structural stability and weather resistance.

Core Responsibilities:

Restoration & Repair:

Perform tuckpointing, bricklaying, and stone patching. Replace damaged lintels, bricks, or terra cotta blocks to match original structures.

Structural Integrity:

Install wall ties, flashings, and through-wall flashing to prevent moisture damage and improve longevity.

Surface Maintenance:

Execute mechanical and chemical cleaning of masonry facades, apply sealers, and perform waterproofing.

Material Preparation:

Mix specialized mortars, including lime and Jahn mortars, to match historic specifications.

Precision Work:

Read blueprints and use hand/power tools (grinders, saws, chisels) to shape stone or brick for a seamless finished appearance.

Site Safety:

Set up and dismantle scaffolding and operate aerial/boom lifts while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Applicants should be reliable, physically fit, and able to work well in a team environment.
