As a Laborer, you will be trained to drive company trucks and equipment to job sites. Once on site you will assist with site preparation, operate hand & power tools, assist with pipe and septic tank installation, and equipment maintenance among other duties as needed. We need an individual who is comfortable working as part of a team and is capable of completing a variety of tasks in a timely fashion. This position is entry-level and requires little experience, but the candidate we hire MUST have the desire to learn and work efficiently, pay attention to detail, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Berres Excavating believes in employee development and is willing to train the right candidate, though Excavating and/or Septic installation experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

•This individual will assist with snow removal during the winter on an as needed basis and then can be guaranteed hours at the start of the main work season.• Load/unload and prep trucks. Drive company vehicles. Assist with prepping jobsites. Assist with pipe and septic system installation. Lift and carry heavy loads. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Assist with general construction tasks. Operate hand and power tools. Handling potentially harmful chemicals/fluids (glue, primer, sewage, etc.) Assist the team in snow removal during winter months on an as needed basis Typical work schedule is Monday - Friday 6 AM - 6 or 7 PM and every other Saturday.
