Restoration/ Demolition Laborer
Job Description
RESTORATION / DEMOLITION TECHNICIAN
Full-Time | In-Person | Maple Grove, MN $21-$25/hour + Overtime
LIKE WORKING WITH YOUR HANDS AND SEEING WHAT YOU ACCOMPLISHED AT THE END OF THE DAY?
This might be your kind of job. Restoration Network is looking for a dependable, hardworking Restoration / Demolition Technician to join our team. When a homeowner experiences water, fire, or storm damage, we're often one of the first teams through the door. Our job is to take a stressful, damaged environment and start putting it back in order. Some days you'll remove drywall, flooring, insulation, or damaged materials. Other days you'll set up containment, move contents, clean a job site, board up a property, or help the team respond to an emergency. It's physical. It can be messy. And it's incredibly satisfying work for the right person. You don't necessarily need years of restoration experience. We can teach restoration. What we can't teach is work ethic, dependability, attention to detail, and taking pride in your work.
YOU'LL PROBABLY LOVE THIS JOB
IF... You'd rather be moving and working with your hands than sitting behind a desk. You like looking back at the end of the day and seeing what you accomplished. You're the person who shows up when you say you will. You don't need someone constantly telling you what to do next. You take care of tools, equipment, vehicles, and other people's property. You notice the little things and believe a job should be done right—not just done fast. You're willing to learn and don't mind asking questions when you don't know something. You can take direction and work well as part of a crew. You understand that when someone's home has been damaged, it's a big deal to them , even if it's another workday for us. You want more than a paycheck—you'd like the opportunity to learn a trade and grow into greater responsibility.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Restoration / Demolition Technician, you'll work alongside our restoration team on residential and commercial properties affected by water, fire, storm, and other types of property damage.
Your responsibilities may include:
Removing damaged drywall, flooring, cabinets, insulation, trim, and other building materials Performing selective demolition while protecting materials that can be saved Setting up containment and dust-control systems Assisting with water extraction and drying equipment Setting up, monitoring, moving, and removing restoration equipment Performing emergency board-ups and property protection Moving and protecting customers' belongings Loading, unloading, and hauling materials and debris Maintaining clean, organized, and safe job sites Taking job-site photos and assisting with required documentation Properly using and caring for company tools and equipment Keeping company vehicles and work areas clean and organized Following safety procedures and wearing required PPE Communicating professionally with homeowners and other team members Assisting other members of the restoration team as needed And yes, cleaning up after yourself is part of the job. We believe the condition we leave a job site in says a lot about the quality of our work.
