Responsibilities As a •Skilled Laborer/Groundman•, you will support all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. In addition, you will: + Follow all safety procedures and use proper PPE to ensure the safety of yourself, your crew, and the public + Perform general labor duties including trenching, backfilling, job site prep, and material handling + Assist with installation of underground conduit and fiber optic cable, including fiber blowing and placement + Support aerial and underground construction as directed and trained + Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment between job sites + Assist with equipment and vehicle operations (trucks, trailers, and construction equipment) as directed and certified + Support site cleanup, basic maintenance, and overall job site organization + Assist with troubleshooting and basic repair of RF and fiber systems as needed + Learn to read and interpret construction prints, maps, and design schematics + Gain experience with telecom tools and equipment such as bucket trucks, line trucks, cable reels, and power tools

Qualifications About You:

+ Safety is part of your everyday mindset + Proven track record of delivering high-quality work + Hands-on problem solver who enjoys tackling challenging tasks + At least 2 years of experience working outdoors, preferably in a utilities/construction environment + Team-oriented and willing to get in the field alongside your crew + Looking for long-term opportunities with consistent work and growth potential + Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, independently and consistently + Interest in growing within telecom construction (fiber splicing, coax, drilling, etc.) + Open to travel 7-10 day projects per diem (up to 50% within MN/WI and 50+ hours per week, depending on the weather), and working overtime consistently + Valid and current CDL A/B is required MOS Codes 12K, 12N,12V, 12W, 21E, 21J, 25P, 91C, 91L, 11B, 1100, 1120, 1316, 9970-9975, 0612, 2T3XX, 2E1XX, 3E2XX, 3E3XX, 9T0XX, BU, UT relate well to this position. Compensation of $21-$24 per hour, depending on the experience. Hard work pays off.
