Join a growing drainage contractor installing agricultural and commercial drainage tile systems throughout Southern Minnesota. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in construction, excavation, farming, landscaping, utilities, or heavy equipment operation who enjoy working outdoors and being part of a team. No drainage tile experience? We are willing to train motivated individuals with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Job Description As a Construction General Laborer, you will support drainage tile installation crews on a variety of agricultural and commercial projects. You will assist with site preparation, material handling, installation activities, and general construction duties while working alongside experienced operators and crew members. This role is physically active and offers opportunities to learn specialized skills in the drainage and excavation industry. What You'll Do Assist with the installation of agricultural and commercial drainage tile systems Load, unload, and transport pipe, fittings, tools, and construction materials Grade, trench, and prepare job sites for installation work Work alongside excavator, dozer, and tile plow operators Install drainage pipe, structures, and related system components Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations Support crews with additional labor and construction tasks as needed Travel to project sites throughout Southern Minnesota What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Ability to lift 50+ pounds throughout the workday Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions Strong attendance and reliability Ability to work effectively as part of a team Willingness to travel to project locations Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures Preferred Experience Construction labor Excavation or earthwork Drainage tile installation Farming or agricultural operations Landscaping Heavy equipment operation Utility construction Compensation & Benefits $18$23/hour based on experience Overtime opportunities available Full-time, year-round employment On-the-job training and skill development Career advancement opportunities Stable work with a growing company Opportunity to gain experience in specialized excavation and drainage systems Work Environment This position is based outdoors at active construction and agricultural project sites throughout Southern Minnesota. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
