Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Skilled Construction Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting various phases of construction projects, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to high standards. Your hands-on skills and knowledge of construction processes will contribute directly to the successful delivery of projects across industrial and commercial sites. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise while working on diverse construction tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist with reading and interpreting construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to ensure accurate implementation of project specifications. Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting, carrying, and positioning materials and equipment safely and efficiently. Operate power tools and construction equipment, including drills, saws, and compactors, adhering strictly to safety regulations. Support erosion control measures to protect the environment and maintain site stability during construction activities. Conduct routine equipment repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal performance on-site. Follow all workplace safety protocols, including OSHA safety standards, respiratory protection procedures, and climbing safety measures. Implement construction site safety regulations by maintaining a clean work environment, securing tools and materials, and participating in safety meetings. Skills Proficiency in reading blueprints, construction plans, and technical drawings for accurate project execution. Strong understanding of erosion control techniques and environmental protection practices. Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and manual handling best practices for safe operations. Knowledge of industrial construction processes and safety regulations to ensure compliance at all times. Ability to operate power tools safely while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Experience with climbing structures or scaffolding as needed for specific tasks. Understanding of respiratory protection requirements for working in dusty or hazardous environments.
