Job Title:
Laborer Job Description This role supports large, complex commercial construction projects, including data centers, student housing high‑rises, hotels, mixed‑use urban developments, and commercial or industrial facilities. You contribute to project success by performing a wide range of construction, general labor, and site support tasks to maintain a safe, efficient, and productive job site. Responsibilities Perform general construction labor on new-build commercial projects, including data centers, student housing high‑rises, hotels, mixed‑use developments, and commercial/industrial facilities. Handle concrete-related tasks such as basic placement, moving, and site preparation under direction from site leadership. Use hand tools and basic mechanical tools safely and effectively for construction and site maintenance activities. Support production work on the job site, assisting trades and crews as needed to keep projects on schedule. Carry out cleaning duties, including debris removal, sweeping, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Assist with basic electrical-related tasks as directed, such as material handling and supporting licensed tradespeople. Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment when authorized and in accordance with safety procedures. Perform landscaping and site grounds tasks as needed, including grading, cleanup, and exterior maintenance. Follow all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective gear. Work collaboratively with site supervisors and team members, responding to instructions and adapting to changing project needs. Maintain punctuality and reliability for the scheduled shift to support continuous project operations. Essential Skills 2-3 years of solid construction trades experience in the field on new-build construction projects. Proficiency in general construction labor tasks on large, complex commercial builds. Experience working with concrete in a construction environment. Ability to use hand tools and basic mechanical tools safely and effectively. Experience in general labor duties such as cleaning, material handling, and site maintenance. Capability to support production activities on active construction sites. Familiarity with basic electrical-related support tasks in a construction setting. Experience operating a forklift or similar material-handling equipment, following safety guidelines. Ability to perform landscaping and exterior site work as part of construction projects. Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience on large, complex commercial builds such as data centers, high‑rise student housing, hotels, mixed‑use developments, and commercial/industrial facilities. Comfort working across multiple trades and tasks, including construction, mechanical, electrical support, and landscaping. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and assist different crews as project needs evolve. Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized job site. Work Environment This position is based on active new-build construction sites focused on large, complex commercial projects. The standard shift runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. You spend most of your time performing cleaning and general labor tasks, supporting construction activities both indoors and outdoors. The work environment is not climate controlled, so you should be prepared to work in varying weather conditions and temperatures. You will regularly use construction tools, equipment, and material-handling machinery such as forklifts, following all safety protocols and site rules. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Osage Beach, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
