FULL-TIME ENTRY LEVEL LABORER

The City of Sugar Creek Public Works department is accepting applications for the position of full-time laborer; minimum age of 18 with a starting wage of $18.18 an hour. Applicants must be able to successfully pass a drug and alcohol screening, and pass a physical, and agilities test associated with the laborer position. JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT

Performs a variety of utility and road construction and maintenance duties.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operates utility trucks, tractors and attachments, and lawnmowers. Cleans City-owned and operated buildings, grounds, and parks. Properly uses, cares for, and cleans after service, all tools, materials, and equipment of the job. Performs heavy construction and repair type work involving the operation of a variety of equipment, including power and hand tools. Ensures all City and department safety policies are followed. Mowing and maintaining City property. Performs other related duties as assigned.
