About Us:
Hopkins Construction & Excavation is a locally owned company focused on high-quality civil, commercial and residential work in the Gallatin Valley. Position Overview:
We're looking for a motivated laborer to assist with installing water and sewer main lines under an existing paved roadway. This role is hands-on and critical to the success of the project.
Responsibilities:
Assist with laying water and sewer main (PVC, HDPE, C-900, ductile iron) Set grade using pipe and rotating lasers and grade stakes Install services (water, sewer, fire lines) into lots Work in trenches (with trench boxes) safely and efficiently Assist with asphalt demo and site cleanup Support excavator operators and foreman
Requirements:
Previous underground utility experience preferred (not required for the right person) Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions Comfortable working in trenches and around heavy equipment Reliable transportation Strong work ethic and team mindset Ability to follow direction and communicate effectively
Preferred:
Experience with pipe installation, reading stakes, and grading OSHA 10 or trench safety knowledge
Pay:
$24.00 - $35.00 per hour
