Albemarle, NC and surrounding areas Position Overview This position is designed for someone who wants to build a long-term career in residential construction. No prior carpentry experience is required. The successful candidate will receive hands-on training with the goal of advancing into a Carpenter position. Responsibilities Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe. Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment. Set up ladders, tools, extension cords, and work areas. Assist with measuring, cutting, fastening, and installing building materials. Hand tools and materials to the carpenter as needed. Learn proper use of construction tools and safety procedures. Perform other duties necessary to complete residential construction projects. Qualifications Dependable and punctual. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Physically able to lift 75 pounds and work outdoors. Comfortable using basic hand tools or willing to learn. Able to follow directions and work as part of a team. Reliable transportation to the shop. Advancement Opportunity This is an apprenticeship-style position. Employees who demonstrate reliability, initiative, and a commitment to learning will have the opportunity to advance into a Carpenter position with increased responsibilities and pay.
