Job Description

General Laborer Stealth Underground, LLC | Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, Montana Overview Stealth Underground is hiring General Laborers to join our underground utility crews. This role supports fiber optic and utility installation work, including directional drilling, plow operations, conduit placement, and handhole installation. This is a local, year-round position (not seasonal), with overtime available as weather and project schedules allow. Ideal for someone who wants steady, physical outdoor work close to home. Responsibilities Assist with directional drilling, plowing, trenching, and conduit installation on underground utility projects Set up and maintain traffic control devices per site-specific traffic control plans Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites Dig, backfill, and compact trenches by hand or with small equipment as directed Install handholes, vaults, and related fiber/utility infrastructure components Follow all safety protocols, including trenching/excavation competent-person guidance and job hazard analyses Maintain a clean, organized job site and properly stage materials Perform general labor duties as directed by the crew foreman Work overtime hours as needed and weather permits — this is a year-round role, not seasonal Skills & Qualifications Physical ability to perform manual labor outdoors in varying weather conditions, including lifting 50+ lbs, standing, bending, and digging for extended periods Valid driver's license (CDL a plus, not required) Prior construction, utility, or labor experience preferred but not required — willing to train Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and in active traffic control zones Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work as part of a crew
OSHA 10/30
certification a plus (or willingness to obtain)
Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
