In this role, you will be an essential part of various projects, assisting skilled tradespeople and ensuring that work progresses efficiently and safely. Your hands-on contributions will help bring construction plans to life, from site preparation to finishing touches. Responsibilities Assist with site preparation, including clearing, leveling, and setting up work zones in accordance with safety regulations. Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as jack hammering, Shoveling, Raking, Luting and assembling materials. Mix and pour concrete and perform finishing work such as smoothing surfaces and applying sealants. Handle heavy lifting of materials, equipment and tools. Follow all construction workplace safety regulations diligently to ensure a secure environment for everyone on site. Requirements Prior experience working on construction projects or in a related trade environment is highly preferred. Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating processes are advantageous. Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans accurately. Knowledge of concrete forming, pouring, finishing, cutting, and related masonry techniques. Understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions. Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors.
