Schedule:
Full-time, year-round position About the Position Rodgers Companies is hiring an experienced Residential Construction Technician to support new-home installations, renovations, property improvements, and maintenance projects across our manufactured housing communities in New Hampshire. This position is for someone with real residential construction experience who can work independently, solve problems in the field, and complete projects correctly without constant supervision. The work will vary from new-home preparation and finish work to renovations, repairs, site improvements, and property maintenance. This is not an entry-level general labor position. Responsibilities Perform residential construction, renovation, repair, and maintenance work Assist with the installation and completion of new manufactured homes Complete interior and exterior finish work, including trim, flooring, siding, doors, windows, decks, and skirting Perform basic framing, carpentry, demolition, and punch-list work Troubleshoot building and property maintenance issues Prepare homes and sites for contractors, inspections, and occupancy Coordinate daily work with company employees, subcontractors, and suppliers Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely Pick up, transport, and organize materials and equipment Maintain clean and safe jobsites Communicate project progress, material needs, and potential problems to management Assist with snow removal, emergency repairs, and other property needs when required Qualifications At least three years of residential construction, remodeling, carpentry, or home-building experience Ability to complete assigned work independently Working knowledge of residential construction methods and project sequencing Experience using common hand tools and power tools Ability to identify problems and recommend practical solutions Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to safely lift and carry construction materials Willingness to travel between company properties in New Hampshire Dependable, organized, and able to communicate professionally with residents and coworkers Preferred Experience Manufactured or modular home installation Framing, siding, roofing, flooring, trim, or finish carpentry Deck and stair construction Skid-steer, excavator, or compact equipment operation Basic plumbing or electrical repair knowledge Reading plans, specifications, and construction drawings Supervising laborers or coordinating subcontractors What We Offer Competitive hourly compensation based on experience Consistent, year-round employment Overtime opportunities when available Paid time off Health and retirement benefits Company-provided tools, equipment, and work vehicle as applicable Opportunity to advance into a Senior Construction Technician or Crew Lead position Ability to acquire a DOT Medical Card About Rodgers Companies Rodgers Companies is a family-owned real estate company that owns, operates, and improves manufactured housing communities throughout New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
