Job Description

Experienced Hardscape Installer Stone Ridge Outdoor Experiences is looking for an experienced Hardscape Installer to join our growing team. We are a high-end landscape construction and outdoor living company specializing in custom patios, walkways, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, swimming pools, landscape construction, and complete outdoor living environments throughout Southern New Hampshire and Northeastern Massachusetts. We are looking for an experienced hardscape installer who takes pride in craftsmanship and understands that the quality of the finished product starts with proper preparation. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience installing pavers, natural stone, retaining walls, steps, patios, and other hardscape features and is comfortable working from construction plans and project layouts. What You'll Do Install high-end residential patios, walkways, pool decks, outdoor kitchens, retaining walls, steps, and other hardscape features. Perform proper excavation and base preparation for pavers, walls, patios, and other hardscape installations. Establish elevations, grades, slopes, and drainage according to project plans. Install concrete pavers, natural stone, granite, bluestone, porcelain, and other premium hardscape materials. Build segmental retaining walls and natural stone walls. Install steps, landings, borders, and other detailed hardscape elements. Operate skid steers, compactors, saws, and other construction equipment safely. Measure, cut, fit, and install materials accurately with attention to detail. Read and understand site plans, construction drawings, and project layouts. Work with the crew to maintain proper grades, elevations, and layout throughout the project. Assist with drainage, irrigation, lighting, and other site components as required. Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites. Properly care for tools, equipment, and materials. Work efficiently while maintaining Stone Ridge's standards for quality and craftsmanship. What We're Looking For 2+ years of professional hardscape installation experience preferred. Strong experience installing pavers, patios, walkways, and retaining walls. Knowledge of proper excavation, base preparation, compaction, grading, and drainage. Ability to read and understand construction plans and site layouts. Comfortable using laser levels, compactors, saws, and other construction tools. Experience operating skid steers and other small construction equipment is a plus. Ability to accurately measure, cut, and install hardscape materials. Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record preferred. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Commitment to maintaining a safe and professional work environment. The Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who understands that a great hardscape project is built from the ground up. You should know the importance of proper excavation, base depth, compaction, drainage, pitch, and elevation—and understand how those details affect the finished product. You don't need to know everything, but you should be someone who wants to build things correctly , takes pride in craftsmanship, and is willing to learn and grow with a professional construction company. Experience with premium residential hardscape construction is highly valued.
