Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Site Work Laborer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation and execution of site work on various construction projects. This includes tasks such as excavation, grading, foundation preparation, and other essential duties to ensure the worksite is ready for further construction phases.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in site preparation including clearing, grading, and excavation. Operate hand tools and light equipment (shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, etc.). Help with trenching and backfilling for utilities and foundations. Load and unload materials, equipment, and supplies on-site. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures. Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, masons) with various tasks as needed. Follow instructions from the Site Foreman or Supervisor to ensure work is done efficiently. Assist with the installation of utilities such as drainage systems, water, and sewer lines. Handle and transport materials to specific areas of the construction site. Report any unsafe conditions or practices to site supervisors immediately.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in construction or site work labor is preferred, but not required. Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs). Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Knowledge of basic construction tools and equipment. Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions. Strong attention to detail and safety awareness. Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
Working Conditions:
Physical work outdoors in all weather conditions. May involve long hours, including early mornings or occasional weekends. Safety equipment (e.g., hard hat, gloves, reflective vest) is provided and must be worn at all times on-site.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly wage based on experience. Overtime may be available.
