Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Welder, Construction Laborer to join our team. In this role, responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication tasks on various construction projects and learn skills with other trades. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure that all welding and assembly work meets safety standards, technical specifications, and quality expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction initiatives while honing your welding and various skills in a fast-paced environment. Duties Perform welding using various techniques including Wire feedFCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards Operate power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal materials Measure materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly Fabricate sheet metal components, ductwork, piping, and structural steel according to project specifications Rigging, pipe threading, and performing metal fabrication tasks while adhering to safety protocols at all times Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during welding or fabrication processes and ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle Experience Prior construction site experience with exposure to metal fabrication and welding environments Hands-on experience with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings for mechanical or structural projects Proficiency in operating welding equipment including FCAW, MIG, TIG, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding techniques Familiarity with ASME codes & standards for pressure vessels or piping systems is a plus Knowledge of construction tools such as hand tools, power tools, rigging gear, and machining equipment Experience working with sheet metal fabrication, ductwork installation, pipe threading, or manufacturing environments preferred Ability to follow safety protocols diligently while working on construction sites or in fabrication shops Join our team if you're passionate about craftsmanship and eager to build a career in construction welding!
