Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Skilled Laborer to join our construction team. In this versatile role, you will be an essential contributor to our construction processes, ensuring that jobs run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Your hands-on expertise and roofing, carpentry, and labor proficiency will help us meet high-quality standards while adhering to safety protocols. Responsibilities Operate various hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. Use trailers and other machinery safely to move materials throughout Las Cruces. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to ensure accurate assembly and manufacturing processes. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards in production environments. Assist in process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting enhancements aligned with lean construction principles. Manage assembly line tasks efficiently, supporting the production team in meeting daily targets. Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with safety standards in manufacturing. Requirements Proven experience working in a factory or manufacturing facility environment with familiarity in assembly line operations. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and use measuring instruments accurately. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other manufacturing equipment. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely throughout the workday. Strong understanding of safety standards in production settings, including safety protocol adherence and lean manufacturing practices. Experience managing or supporting production or assembly teams is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement and efficiency enhancement. Pay:
$16.00 - $19.00 per hour
