Full Job Description Job Summary:

Must be able to pass a background and driving record check. We are seeking a skilled Welder Helper to join our team. As a Welder Helper, you will assist the welders in various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our welding projects. This is a hands-on role that requires technical knowledge and the ability to work with various tools and equipment.

Duties:

• Assist welders in setting up welding equipment and tools
• Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, cutting, and shaping as necessary
• Hold or position materials for welders during the welding process
• Operate hand and power tools such as grinders, saws, and drills
• Perform basic welding tasks under the guidance of experienced welders
• Inspect welded surfaces for defects and report any issues to the supervisor
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
• Basic knowledge of welding techniques and processes
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in welding projects
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects as required
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Skills:

• Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools
• Knowledge of stick welding techniques and procedures
• Experience operating forklifts or willingness to learn
• Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues
• Familiarity with machining processes for metal fabrication
