Essel Environmental provides On-Demand Emergency and Disaster Response Personnel throughout the United States. The Field Hazmat Technician is responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, general construction and other tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
Utilize hand-tools and equipment, absorbent booms and pads to contain and remediate impacted surfaces, soils and waters.

Operate light and heavy equipment including: pumps, vacuum, oil spill boom, generators, bobcats, etc.

Perform emergency response activities including: chemical and water spills, etiological and biological contamination, tank cleaning, equipment decontamination.

Be able to meet a 12 hour night or day shift work schedule with dependability and consistency.

Qualifications:
Able to work on-call projects as well as longer term projectsExperience with pump watch, setting up gabion walls and sediment removal requiredAbility to perform labor intensive activities in any weather or environmental conditionsReliable local transportationAbility to perform duties while adhering to safety priorities while wearing PPE, such as respirators and protective clothing'

$18.00- 20.00 per hour
