Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be an essential contributor to various construction projects, assisting with site preparation, material handling, and the execution of concrete and structural work. Your energy and attention to safety will help ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop hands-on skills across multiple facets of construction while working in a fast-paced environment that values teamwork and safety. Responsibilities Assist with site setup, including preparing work areas and ensuring all safety protocols are followed. Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as cutting, shaping, and assembling materials. Support concrete-related activities including pouring, finishing, cutting, and formwork construction. Install rebar and metal studs according to blueprints and schematics to reinforce concrete structures. Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to accurately execute project requirements. Handle heavy lifting of materials such as concrete bags, rebar, drywall, or heavy equipment as needed. Support skilled tradespeople in tasks like masonry, framing, roofing, drywall installation, stucco application, tile laying, and restoration projects. Operate heavy equipment and machinery such as concrete mixers or pumps under supervision while adhering to safety regulations. Maintain a clean and organized work environment by managing materials and tools efficiently on-site. Follow all construction workplace safety regulations diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Qualifications Previous experience working on construction sites or in related roles is highly preferred. Basic mechanical knowledge combined with familiarity with construction estimating is advantageous. Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans accurately. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, concrete pumping equipment, and heavy machinery operation. Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times. Experience with specific trades such as carpentry (including trim carpentry), masonry, drywall installation, roofing, stucco application or flooring installation is a plus. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Valid driver's license for commercial driving or operating certain equipment may be required depending on project needs.
