Construction Laborer

Job Overview Join our small family owned and operated construction company as a Construction Laborer, Foreman, Operator or Truck Driver. Our industry is Local Municipality Highway Construction, and we regularly work around the Capital Region, I-88 corridor, Central and Northern NY. Our work season typically runs from April-October/November. Heavy & Highway Laborers wanted. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will contribute to safe, efficient, and high-quality project completion. Whether assisting with a bridge repair crew on concrete work, steel repairs, and culvert solutions, or on the guide rail crew assisting in the removals and installation of cable, W-Beam and Box Beam Guide Rail. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across multiple construction disciplines while working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist with heavy lifting and material handling to ensure smooth workflow on-site Operate power tools and hand tools safely for tasks such as steel and concrete repair, guide rail installation, or other tasks in the heavy highway construction field. Support rebar installation, concrete forming, and concrete finishing activities to ensure structural integrity Perform demolition, restoration, or site cleanup as needed to maintain a safe work environment Support heavy equipment operation and concrete/grout pumping activities under supervision Follow safety protocols diligently while working with heavy machinery and on elevated surfaces such as bridge scaffolding Contribute to site organization by maintaining tools and materials in designated areas Experience Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades is highly preferred Hands-on experience with any: concrete repair, formwork, rebar installation, guide rail installation or culvert rehabilitation enhances your suitability for this role Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and commercial driving is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions Demonstrated understanding of safety standards related to construction work environments Basic mechanical knowledge and proficiency with hand tools and power tools are essential for success in this position Join us to build a rewarding career where your physical skills meet your passion for construction!
