Job Title:

Construction Laborer Job Description This role supports daily construction and production activities by loading and moving materials, assisting with basic site preparation, and operating hand and power tools under supervision. You help keep the job site safe, clean, and efficient while working closely with supervisors, machine operators, and other team members on a large-scale data center project. Responsibilities Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment around the job site in a safe and efficient manner. Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision, following all safety guidelines. Prepare and clean job sites, including removing debris and maintaining a tidy work area. Dig trenches, backfill holes, and assist with basic site excavation tasks as directed. Assist the machine operator with laying power lines and related activities. Move, carry, and stage materials to support ongoing construction and production work. Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment at all times. Support the loading and unloading of materials and equipment from vehicles or storage areas. Communicate with the on-site point of contact to navigate material locations and orders. Perform other duties as assigned by the site supervisor or foreman to support project needs. Essential Skills Ability to perform general labor tasks in a construction or production environment. Ability to lift 5075 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods. Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain. Basic understanding of construction tools and equipment, including hand tools and power tools. Ability to safely operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision. Reliable transportation to and from the job site. Strong work ethic, with a focus on reliability, punctuality, and completing tasks safely. Willingness to learn new tasks and follow instructions from supervisors and foremen. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous construction or general labor experience preferred but not required. Experience working in production, construction, or similar environments is an asset. Experience using forklifts or other material-handling equipment is beneficial. Comfort assisting machine operators, especially in tasks related to laying power lines. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Barker, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
