Job Description
Foremost Contracting and Building LLC is hiring a Skilled Construction Laborer to join our crew in NYC. You'll work directly under our Site Superintendent to keep the jobsite safe, clean, and fully compliant with OSHA and NYC DOB requirements. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes safety seriously and can be relied on as a Competent Person on site. What you'll do: Work under the Superintendent to maintain a safe, code-compliant site Build, install, and maintain OSHA-compliant safety items (guardrails, barricades, signage, fall protection, etc.) Handle general site cleanup and housekeeping Set up and monitor pedestrian safety measures around the site Load, unload, and stage materials and equipment Report hazards and safety concerns to the Superintendent immediately What you need: Current NYC DOB 62-Hour SST Supervisor Card (required — must be able to serve as a Competent Person on site) Prior experience as a construction laborer Solid knowledge of OSHA safety standards Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all conditions Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
