Construction Laborer•Guide Rail & Sign Installation Based out of Oaks Corners, NY | Work Sites Across New York State Elderlee, Inc. is hiring Construction Laborers to support highway safety projects throughout New York State. Prevailing wage projects Steady seasonal work (April-December) Training and advancement opportunities, including support obtaining your CDL Strong team culture and hands‑on experience Meaningful work that improves roadway safety across New York State What You'll Do As part of a skilled crew, you'll work under the direction of a Superintendent to complete roadway safety projects safely, efficiently, and professionally. Key Responsibilities Requires 100% travel Monday through Friday from April through December. All overnight lodging is arranged and paid for by the company. Load and unload materials from trucks Repeatedly lift and handle materials weighing 50+ lbs Operate hand and power tools Install guide rail and roadway signs as directed Assist with job site cleanup and organization Work collaboratively with crew members to meet project goals Drive company vehicles to and from job sites as needed Maintain truck logbooks per state and federal regulations Inspect trucks and equipment (tires, lights, brakes, fluids, etc.) Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly Keep trucks clean and well‑maintained Obtain Flag Person Certification if required Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Highway, construction, or general heavy laborer experience preferred Must have or be willing to obtain a CDL Class A or B (permit accepted to start — Elderlee supports drivers through the process of obtaining a full CDL) Ability to pass a pre‑employment physical and drug screening Basic construction skills (using a tape measure, hand and power tools) Willingness to join the local laborers union Reliable transportation to and from Oaks Corners, NY All crews depart and return to Oaks Corners either daily or at the end of the week. This position requires 100% travel Monday through Friday from April through December. All overnight lodging is arranged and paid for by the company.
