Summer Laborer - Traffic Garage

SALARY :

$19.50 per hour 40 hours per week Monday - Friday Approximately 4 weeks will have overnight hours May 18th 2026 through August 21st 2026

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The following qualification(s) must be met and clearly detailed on the City of Saratoga Springs employment application form by the last filing date: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age AND. Possess and maintain a current and valid NYS driver's license throughout the duration of employment.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

: Willingness to work out of doors, occasionally under adverse weather conditions. Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 70 pound short lifts and 50 pounds repetitively. Ability to work in a highway construction environment where most of the work takes place in and around motor vehicle traffic.

DUTIES:

Assist Traffic Department in the installation AND maintenance of traffic pavement markings and other related traffic control devices on all city streets and parking lots
