About Us Harding Homes is a Western New York homebuilder that develops, owns, and operates single-family rental homes. We self-perform most of the trades on our new builds, including site work, excavation, framing, roofing, siding, insulation, drywall, flooring, and painting. We're a young company growing fast, and we're looking for a handy, reliable person to grow with us. The Role You'll work alongside the owner on every phase of our builds, from putting up the rough structure to finishing out the interior. Some days you'll be working directly with me; other days you'll be handling your own tasks. The goal is for you to help get buildings framed and closed in, then take ownership of finish work and punch-out on your own. You'll also get exposure to the mechanical trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) and occasionally handle maintenance at our existing rental properties. What You'll Do Work alongside the owner as his helper on site work, excavation, framing, roofing, siding, insulation, and hanging drywall Complete finish work independently: trim, doors and hardware, cabinets, closet systems, appliance hookups, flooring, drywall finishing, and paint Handle punch lists and get homes ready for occupancy Perform maintenance and repairs at our existing properties as needed Why This Is a Great Job Learn the whole build. You'll work across many trades and see the full lifecycle of a home, from dirt to move-in. Work next to the decision-maker. You'll work directly with the owner and developer, so you'll see how and why decisions get made. You will also get exposure to the development side of the business as well. Consistent location. You'll report to the same site for weeks at a time, with no driving hours in different directions every day. Room to grow. We're a growing startup. For the right person, there's a real path to more responsibility, and partial ownership or profit share is possible. Flexible schedule. Hours are semi-flexible, making this a good fit for students. What We're Looking For About a year of experience in any construction trade Comfortable with basic hand and power tools Handy, detail-oriented, and takes pride in clean finish work. This is the big one. If you're the person who likes getting the trim tight and the doors hanging right, we want to talk to you. Willing to learn. You won't be expected to know everything on day one; we'll work together, and the goal is for you to take on tasks independently over time. Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work without constant supervision

Pay:

$20.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 35.0 per week
