Solar General Laborer Job Description This role supports solar construction projects by performing general labor tasks on ground-mounted solar installations. You will assist with racking and module installation, use hand tools safely and efficiently, and follow OSHA regulations and site safety protocols throughout the project duration. Responsibilities Perform general labor duties on solar construction sites, focusing on ground-mounted systems. Install racking and solar modules according to project specifications and safety standards. Use hand tools safely and effectively to complete assigned installation and assembly tasks. Follow OSHA regulations and all site-specific safety procedures at all times. Wear required safety equipment, including a Type II hardhat, and comply with all personal protective equipment requirements. Participate in labor orientation training and apply the information to daily work activities. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area on the job site. Support the project team by moving materials, staging equipment, and assisting with basic construction tasks as directed. Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members regarding task status, safety concerns, and site conditions. Adhere to project timelines and work productively to help the team meet daily and weekly goals. Essential Skills Experience performing general labor on solar construction projects, particularly ground-mounted installations. Ability to install solar racking and modules following instructions and safety guidelines. Proficient use of basic hand tools in a construction or solar installation environment. Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and commitment to safe work practices. Capability to follow directions, work as part of a team, and complete physically demanding tasks outdoors. Attention to detail and reliability in completing assigned duties. Additional Skills & Qualifications Type II hardhat required for all site work. OSHA 10 certification is mandatory. Completion of labor orientation training prior to or at the start of work. Comfort working on ground-mounted solar installations; no scissor lift training is needed for this role. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Bucyrus, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
