Job Description
Job Overview We are looking for a reliable and skilled Construction Worker to assist with residential home remodeling projects. This role involves working on a variety of renovation tasks, including demolition, installation, repairs, and finishing work. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. This role also includes traveling around different locations in Morgan County. This role may involve working in varying weather conditions or tight spaces. Pay will be based on experience.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the installation of rebar, formwork, and concrete finishing to ensure structural integrity and quality standards. Perform heavy lifting and manual labor required for site preparation, material handling, and debris removal. Carry out tasks related to plastering, stucco application, caulking, trim carpentry, and tile laying to enhance building aesthetics. Perform general construction and remodeling tasks, including demolition, framing, drywall, and finishing work. Assist with installation of cabinets, flooring, fixtures, and other interior elements. Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently. Measure, cut, and assemble materials according to project specifications. Maintain a clean and organized job site. Follow safety guidelines and building codes at all times. Collaborate with team members, contractors, or homeowners to complete projects on schedule. Identify and report any issues or needed repairs during the remodeling process.Required Skills and Qualifications:
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Strong work ethic and reliability (shows up on time, ready to work). Ability to read measurements and follow instructions accurately. Basic to intermediate experience in construction or home remodeling. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Skilled in rebar installation, metal stud framing, masonry work, and concrete forming. Knowledge of common tools, materials, and methods used in residential projects Experience operating power tools such as saws, drills, mixers, and concrete pumps; familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus. Knowledge of roofing systems, flooring installation, tile laying, plastering, stucco application, and restoration projects. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina throughout demanding workdays. Good communication and teamwork skills. Preferred (Not Required): Experience with plumbing, electrical, or HVAC work. Familiarity with local building codes and regulations. Own basic set of tools.Work Environment:
