Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Demolition Operator/Laborer, where you'll play a vital role in safely and efficiently tearing down structures to make way for new developments. This energetic position requires hands-on involvement with demolition projects, utilizing a variety of tools and equipment to ensure work is completed accurately and safely. You'll be an essential part of our construction crew, contributing to the transformation of spaces through skilled demolition and site preparation. Your expertise will help us maintain high safety standards while delivering quality results on diverse projects. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and skid steers to perform controlled demolitions and site clearing Use hand tools and power tools to dismantle structures, including walls, flooring, roofing, and fixtures Follow detailed construction plans and technical drawings to execute demolition tasks precisely Assist with the removal and disposal of building materials, debris, and hazardous waste in accordance with safety protocols Support other trades by preparing sites for remodeling, renovation, or new construction activities Adhere strictly to safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment Interpret technical drawings and construction plans to understand project scope and demolition requirements Experience Proven experience in demolition work or general construction environments with a focus on building removal or site clearing Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery in outdoor construction settings Knowledge of safety standards related to demolition activities, including OSHA regulations or equivalent Experience with construction management software such as Bluebeam is a plus Ability to interpret technical drawings, construction plans, and specifications accurately Background in related trades such as carpentry, drywall installation, plumbing, electrical work, or hardscaping construction projects is advantageous Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards Join us if you're passionate about construction work that transforms spaces!
