Job Description

AP Installations
  • This is not an entry-level position.
  • AP Installations is hiring an
  • experienced Vinyl Graphics Installer
  • specializing in commercial fleet vehicles.
This position is responsible for professionally installing full and partial wraps, spot graphics, lettering, and decals on vans, trucks, trailers, box rucks, and other fleet vehicles. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail oriented, efficient, and capable of consistently producing high-quality installations. This position may involve working independently, as part of an installation team, at our shop, or at customer locations. Primary Responsibilities
  • Install full wraps, partial wraps, lettering, decals, and fleet identification graphics
  • Work on vans, pickups, box trucks, trailers, service vehicles, and large commercial fleets
  • Inspect vehicles and document existing damage before installation
  • Prepare surfaces by properly cleaning and removing wax, grease, adhesive, and contaminants
  • Accurately measure, position, align, and apply graphics according to production layouts
  • Install vinyl around rivets, seams, body lines, curves, recessed areas, doors, and other difficult surfaces
  • Remove existing vinyl and adhesive without damaging vehicle finish
  • Safely remove and reinstall basic vehicle components when required
  • Perform post-heating and finishing according to manufacturer specifications
  • Identify material, production, or vehicle-condition issues before installation begins
  • Maintain consistent panel alignment and graphic placement across multiple fleet vehicles
  • Complete installation paperwork and report material usage or job-site concerns
  • Keep work areas, tools, vehicles, and job sites clean and organized
  • Follow company safety procedures and manufacturer installations guidelines
  • Travel to customer locations for local and national fleet installations when needed
  • Represent AP Installations professionally when working with customers and other contractors Required Qualifications At least 2-5 years of professional vehicle-graphics installation experience preferred Experience installing fleet graphics on commercial vehicles Understanding of cast and calendared vinyl, laminates, application tapes, and adhesive systems Strong measuring, trimming, cutting, alignment, and finishing skills Ability to use heat guns, torches, knives, squeegees, rivet tools, ladders, and other installation equipment safely Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines Valid drivers license and reliable transportation Willingness to work occasionally overtime and travel Ability to pass any required driving-record or background checks Preferred Qualification 3m, Avery Dennison, PDAA, UASG, or similar industry certifications Experience leading fleet installation crews Experience with full vehicle wraps and color-change wraps Experience working on large fleets, trailers, and box trucks Experience removing and reinstalling vehicle hardware OSHA, lift, or job-site safety training Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, and climb for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to work indoors and outdoors an varying weather conditions Comfortable working from ladders, platforms, and lifts when properly trained Sufficient hand control and visual accuracy for detailed trimming and installation
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
