Laborer Role:

Construction laborers and helpers work on almost all construction sites, doing a wide range of tasks from the very easy to difficult and potentially hazardous. Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating materials. Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes (not including computers or vehicles). Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.

Tools & Equipment Used:

Shovels, brooms, non-powered hand tools such as hammers, screw-drivers, wrenches, grease guns and the like. Powered hand tools, such as drills, roto/impact-hammers, saws, jackhammers, compressors and air powered tools. Pickup, trailers, small equipment. This list is not all inclusive but summarizes some of the tools that could be used on a typical job.
