Laborer - Purchasing & Shop Career Path Evenflo Plumbing is looking for an organized, hardworking person who wants to grow into an important operations role within our company. No plumbing experience is required. This position starts as a laborer/shop assistant, learning our materials, equipment, trucks, vendors, and day-to-day plumbing operations. As you gain experience, the position is intended to develop into a larger shop, inventory, and purchasing role . You'll learn what our plumbers use every day, how jobs are stocked, how inventory moves through the company, and how purchasing decisions affect the entire operation. What You'll Do Initially, responsibilities will include: Receive and organize material deliveries Stock and maintain the shop Pull materials for upcoming jobs Deliver materials and equipment to crews when needed Help keep company trucks stocked and organized Maintain tools and equipment Assist with shop and yard organization Help plumbing crews with labor and job-site support when needed Learn plumbing parts, fittings, fixtures, and equipment As you develop, responsibilities can grow into: Managing inventory levels Ordering plumbing materials and supplies Creating and maintaining truck stock lists Coordinating material for upcoming projects Working directly with suppliers and vendor representatives Tracking backorders and special-order materials Comparing pricing and helping control material costs Managing returns and warranty items Improving purchasing and inventory systems Helping oversee the company's shop, tools, equipment, and fleet supplies What We're Looking For You don't need purchasing or plumbing experience. We're looking for someone who is: Extremely dependable Organized and detail-oriented Comfortable with physical work Mechanically inclined Able to learn quickly Comfortable using computers and basic software Good at keeping track of multiple tasks Willing to take ownership of their responsibilities Interested in growing into a long-term operations position A valid driver's license and good driving record are required.
