We take pride in our work and building customers' dream decks, covers, and fences from the ground up! Rick's Custom Fencing & Decking is celebrating its 46th year in business. Many who've been in the company for 20-30+ years started in yard and crew positions, excelled to the top of their skill levels, and grew in to sales and management positions within our company, helping build the next generation of key employees. Crew Leaders:

Crew Leaders run their own 2-person crew with projects based around their skills. Maybe you are great at building cedar fences, or maybe you want to tackle the more complex deck and cover projects that Rick's regularly installs. Wages are based on experience and skill level in construction and management and will start at $23/hour (starting wage depends on experience), with more experienced leaders making as much as $34/hour plus overtime!

Apprentice Carpenters:

If you're new to building and need a little training before becoming a Crew Leader, then start in our 3-month apprentice training program. You'll start at $19-$22 an hour plus overtime, based on skill level and experience. As soon as your training is finished, we'll get you in to a leader position on a 2-person crew with a considerable hourly pay increase based upon performance.

Crew Assistants:

If you have no experience, then we invite you to join our hands-on training by assisting our experienced crew leaders, who can help you learn all the necessary skills to move into the Apprenticeship program and move on to bigger and better things! Wages from $19-20 per hour, plus available overtime, and the goal is to get you skilled enough to become an apprentice within 3 months! Whether you're seasoned in carpentry and construction or looking to grow your skills as a new crew leader, we're seeking motivated, hard-working individuals to join the Rick's Custom Fencing & Decking team. Starting wages depend on experience, quarterly reviews are done to make sure you never earn less than your potential, and available positions in the company are always open and prioritized for current employees!

Job Duties:

Hands-on building of residential exterior projects like fences, decks, and covers Professional and timely communication with customers Working with plans and permits (more experienced leaders, training provided) Some tracking of materials and entering in computer system may be required for experienced leaders. Working outside and at customers' homes on complex home investments that should be treated with care and expertise

Is Well-organized Effectively manages time and priorities Has a strong attention to detail and pride in their work Has good written and verbal communication skills Has an aptitude for problem-solving Has 1-3 years of construction experience Must have a Valid Driver's License All required tools and a truck will be provided.
