Demolition Laborer Hyperion Demolition Corp Portland, OR Job Details Full-time $25.86 - $35.14 an hour 2 hours ago Benefits Opportunities for advancement Qualifications Forklift Driver's License Construction site experience Loader operation Skid steer loader Full Job Description Demolition Laborer Hyperion Demolition Portland, OR / Vancouver, WA Metro Area Full-Time Hyperion Demolition is hiring dependable, hardworking Demolition Laborers to join our field crews. We perform commercial selective demolition, structural demolition, concrete demolition, interior demolition, and total building demolition throughout Oregon and Washington. This is a physical, hands-on position. We are looking for people who can work safely, follow direction, maintain production, and contribute to a fast-moving demolition crew. Responsibilities Perform selective and structural demolition. Remove drywall, framing, ceilings, flooring, fixtures, doors, casework, and other building materials. Assist with concrete demolition and removal. Operate demolition hand tools and small equipment. Use saws, jackhammers, chipping hammers, pry bars, sledgehammers, and similar tools. Assist equipment operators with demolition, sorting, and loadout operations. Separate recyclable materials and debris. Load debris into carts, dumpsters, trucks, or designated disposal areas. Maintain clean and safe work areas. Set up dust control, temporary protection, barricades, and containment when required. Assist with water control and silica dust mitigation. Follow directions from supervisors and foremen. Participate in daily safety meetings and job hazard analyses. Perform equipment and tool inspections before use. Work safely around excavators, skid steers, loaders, trucks, and other heavy equipment. Assist with general site cleanup and project closeout. Qualifications Demolition or construction experience preferred, but we are willing to train dependable candidates with a strong work ethic. Ability to perform physically demanding work for an entire shift. Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and tools. Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to work from ladders or elevated areas when required. Ability to follow safety requirements and supervisor instructions. Reliable transportation to jobsites. Valid driver's license preferred. Ability to work early mornings, overtime, and occasional weekends when required. Willingness to travel to projects throughout Oregon and Washington. Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is a plus: Commercial demolition Selective interior demolition Structural demolition Concrete demolition Jackhammers and chipping hammers Skid steers or compact equipment Concrete cutting Construction labor Heavy civil work Asbestos or abatement support Prevailing-wage projects Forklift or aerial lift operation OSHA safety training What We're Looking For We want people who show up on time, work hard, stay productive, and take safety seriously. Demolition is demanding work. You should be comfortable getting dirty, working around noise and heavy equipment, moving material, and maintaining production throughout the day.
