Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Equipment Operator and a General Laborer to join our team. The ideal operator candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and a background in heavy equipment operation, particularly in construction settings. This role involves operating various types of machinery, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and contributing to the successful completion of construction projects. The ideal laborer candidate will have basic knowledge of excavation, concrete forming, demolition, framing and carpentry; and the ability to use basic hand tools and power tools . Duties Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and dump trucks on construction sites. Perform routine maintenance checks and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Safely transport materials using dump trucks and trailers as required. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use. Follow instructions from site supervisors and report any issues or concerns regarding equipment or site conditions. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy machinery in a construction environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Clean driving record and a DOT physical or ability to obtain one upon employment required for operator positions. Familiarity with Caterpillar machinery is a plus. Experience with various types of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and water trucks. Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physical environments typical of construction sites. Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Candidate(s) must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug test. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to follow written and verbal instruction as given by immediate supervisor.

$18.50 - $28.50 per hour
