Job Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Construction Laborer, where your energy and dedication will help bring building projects to life! In this vital role, you will assist with a variety of tasks across residential, commercial, and renovation sites. Your hands-on work will support skilled tradespeople and ensure projects progress smoothly and safely. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in construction while contributing to high-quality builds that make a difference in communities. All roles are paid positions, emphasizing our commitment to valuing every team member's contribution. Responsibilities Assist with the installation of rebar, formwork, and concrete finishing to ensure structural integrity and quality. Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely to support various construction activities. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to follow project specifications accurately. Prepare job sites by loading/unloading materials, setting up scaffolding, and maintaining a clean work environment. Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks such as moving materials, framing, roofing, or masonry work. Support carpentry tasks including trim carpentry, framing, metal stud framing, and drywall installation. Aid in concrete mixing, pumping, pouring, and finishing to achieve smooth surfaces and durable structures. Assist with specialty tasks such as stucco application, caulking, tile laying, flooring installation, or restoration projects. Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and colleagues. Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and quality standards. Skills Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools. Strong understanding of construction estimating processes and blueprint reading skills. Experience with rebar installation, concrete forming, finishing techniques, and concrete pumping systems. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including forklifts or cranes is a plus. Familiarity with masonry techniques such as bricklaying or stucco application. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining good physical condition. Skilled in interpreting schematics and technical drawings for various trades like carpentry or roofing. Experience working on construction sites across renovation or commercial projects is highly valued. Basic driving skills for commercial vehicles may be required depending on the project needs. $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
