Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Construction Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate is hardworking, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment. This position requires previous construction experience, the ability to perform physically demanding work, and a willingness to assist wherever needed to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general construction labor on active job sites.
- Assist foremen, equipment operators, and skilled tradespeople with daily construction activities.
- Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and properly.
- Assist with site preparation, demolition, excavation, grading, and general site work as needed.
- Assist with concrete work , including site preparation, forming, pouring, finishing support, and cleanup.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install materials according to project requirements.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout the job site.
- Work effectively with foremen, operators, subcontractors, and other crew members.
- Follow instructions, measurements, construction plans, and project specifications.
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and proper PPE procedures.
- Perform additional construction-related duties as assigned based on project needs.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of construction or general labor experience preferred.
- Previous experience on commercial construction, concrete, excavation, site-development, or heavy construction projects is preferred.
- Working knowledge of common construction tools, equipment, and job-site procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a crew.
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to work in varying job-site and weather conditions.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting 50-75 lbs. , bending, climbing, standing, and working outdoors for extended periods.
- Strong attention to job-site safety and quality.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Willingness to work overtime when required by project schedules.
