Construction Laborer Ferreira Construction Co., Inc. | Lincoln, RI Ferreira Construction is seeking Construction Laborers to join our New England operations, based out of our Lincoln, Rhode Island facility. Laborers will support our heavy civil, utility, transportation, infrastructure, and other construction projects throughout New England. This is a hands-on position for individuals who take pride in hard work, want to learn the construction trade, and are looking for steady, year-round work with an established contractor . Responsibilities Perform general labor duties on active construction jobsites. Assist Foremen and Superintendents with daily construction activities. Load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment. Assist with excavation, backfilling, grading, site preparation, and underground utility work. Perform manual digging, shoveling, raking, and other physical construction tasks. Assist equipment operators and other skilled trades as directed. Set up and maintain work areas, traffic control, barriers, and signage. Assist with installation and maintenance of underground utilities and related infrastructure. Maintain a clean and safe jobsite. Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and jobsite procedures. Properly use hand tools, power tools, and other construction equipment. Work effectively as part of a crew and take direction from Foremen and Supervisors. Perform other construction-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous construction or heavy civil experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate . Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, digging, standing, walking, and working outdoors. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to work safely around heavy equipment, excavation, utilities, and active construction operations. Ability to follow directions and work effectively with a team. Valid driver's license preferred. OSHA 10 or other construction safety training a plus.
