Job Description

Gillmann Services is seeking a dedicated Demolition Laborer to join our construction team. This role involves performing various demolition tasks on commercial and residential sites, ensuring safe and efficient removal of structures, fixtures, and materials. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to safety protocols, and the ability to operate hand tools and power equipment effectively. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to large-scale renovation and construction projects while gaining valuable experience in the construction industry.
Pay:
$20 per hour Duties Assist in the safe demolition of buildings, walls, flooring, roofing, and other structures according to project specifications Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as jackhammers, saws, and mini excavators under supervision Remove debris, hazardous materials, and recyclable materials from job sites in compliance with safety standards Prepare work areas by setting up barriers, scaffolding, and safety signage Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and demolition plans Support other trades such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or electrical teams during renovation phases Ensure all work is performed following safety regulations and company policies Assist with site cleanup and organize materials for recycling or disposal Skills Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic heavy equipment operation Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings Knowledge of construction management principles and site safety procedures Familiarity with construction estimating and inspection processes Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, concrete forming, stucco application, roofing, framing carpentry, drywall installation (including caulking), flooring installation, tile laying, masonry work, welding, restoration techniques, hardscape installation, glass installation, cabinet installation, door hanging, painting preparation and finishing Ability to work effectively on construction sites in various weather conditions Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to develop their skills in demolition and construction while contributing to impactful projects.
