Responsibilities Perform detailed cleaning of newly constructed or renovated spaces, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. Handle and operate various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to ensure optimal cleanliness and floor care. Remove debris, leftover materials, and construction waste safely and efficiently from job sites. Apply appropriate chemical agents for sanitation and surface cleaning while adhering to chemical handling safety procedures. Conduct heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices to move furniture, equipment, or materials as needed. Maintain high standards of sanitation by disinfecting surfaces, restrooms, and common areas following safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards and project deadlines are achieved. Follow all safety protocols during cleaning operations to prevent accidents or injuries on site. Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution. Support residential painting or industrial cleaning tasks if required by the project scope. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and industrial vacuums enhances efficiency. Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures ensures safe work practices at all times. Experience with sanitation standards and facilities maintenance contributes to quality results. Strong physical stamina for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking. Customer service skills are beneficial when interacting with clients or project managers on-site. Previous porter experience or background in facilities maintenance can provide a solid foundation for success in this role.
