Full-Time, Monday-Friday, with potential overtime Job Overview Siteworks, Inc. is seeking a dependable and motivated General Laborer to join our utilities and grading crews. This position supports the daily activities of heavy civil construction projects, including underground utility, stormwater, water, sewer, and site-grading work. The General Laborer will work as part of a crew and assist with a variety of hands-on construction activities. The ideal candidate is reliable, willing to learn, able to follow direction, and takes pride in working safely and efficiently. This is a labor position. Heavy equipment operation and pipe installation experience are not required. Opportunities to learn additional construction skills and receive training are available for employees who demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to safety. Key Responsibilities Assist utility and grading crews with daily construction activities. Assist with the installation of storm drain, sewer, and water systems under the direction of the crew. Perform general labor associated with excavation, grading, site preparation, and underground utility work. Safely use hand tools and basic construction equipment as trained and directed. Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment. Assist with trench and excavation activities as directed by the crew. Help prepare and maintain work areas before, during, and after construction activities. Assist with cleanup, material handling, erosion-control measures, and general site maintenance. Act as a ground laborer/spotter when needed and maintain awareness of equipment and vehicle movement around the work area. Follow instructions from foremen, supervisors, and experienced crew members. Maintain a clean and organized jobsite. Follow all company, project, OSHA, and site-specific safety requirements. Perform other general construction duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous construction, utility, grading, or general labor experience is preferred but not required. Experience working around underground utilities, stormwater, water, or sewer construction is a plus. Strong work ethic and dependable attendance. Willingness to learn new construction skills and follow direction. Ability to work effectively as part of a construction crew. Ability to safely perform physical labor for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds as required. Ability to work outdoors year-round in hot, cold, and changing weather conditions. Ability to safely work around heavy equipment, trucks, excavations, and active construction operations. Basic English communication skills required; bilingual candidates are welcome. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening. What We Offer $16.00
